Piarco International Airport (POS)

Location

Piarco International Airport, is about 32km (20mi) southeast of the city of Port of Spain, about a US$20 taxi ride. Allow some travel time depending on the time of the day. Have extra time when going to Port of Spain during the morning hours, and leaving to the airport in the evening hours.. Piarco International Airport has a 24 hour information booth located in the airport's Atrium. Our specially trained and friendly Customer Service Representatives are eager to serve you.

Parking

Sufficient short and long term parking is located in front of the terminal building. The fees for parking are TT$ 5.00 (US$ 0.80) per hour and TT$ 36.00 (US$ 5.70) per day.

Getting to the City

Transport to the city is operated by the Airport Taxi Driver's co-operative. Bookings for the service should be made with the Dispatcher at the Custom's Exit.

Car Rental

Seven car rental agencies operate at the airport. These are Auto Rentals, Singh's, Southern Sales, Sue's Auto Rentals, Kalloo's, Econo and Thrifty.

Facilities

The First Citizen's Bank T&T Ltd operates a Bureau de Change at the airport, open from 6am to 10pm daily. There are also ATMs available. Restaurants are open 24 hours a day. There are 30 different duty free shops as well as several convenience and speciality stores, including a music store. The airport offers free wi-fi.

Departure Tax

Departure Tax of TT$ 100 (200 from 1-June-2012) (about US$ 16 (US$ 32 from 1-June-2012)) for all passengers leaving T&T. The Tax is included in your ticket price.

Crown Point International Airport

ANR Robinson International Airport (TAB)

Overview

Formerly known as Crown Point International Airport, Tobago's main airport is now saddled with the long-winded name of Arthur Napoleon Raymond Robinson International Airport. Less popular than Trinidad's Piarco International Airport, the facility is small and as basic as they come with nothing to offer beyond a couple of restaurants and souvenir shops.

Located 6.8 miles (11km) from the island's capital, Scarborough, the airport offers limited flights to other Caribbean cities and major cities like New York and London.

Location

The airport is situated seven miles (10km) from Scarborough, Tobago.

Getting to the City

There is an hourly bus service to and from Crown Point International Airport. Taxis are also available.

There is no wifi in the terminal building.

The airport has no business or conference facilities, however there are facilities in the Hilton Tobago Hotel, 2.5 miles (4km) east of the airport.
